Our Commitment to Your Privacy
Bridging Insurance Group ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent insurance agency that helps clients find and enroll in health insurance, Medicare, dental, vision, and annuity products. In the course of assisting you, we may receive personal information, including health-related information, that we are committed to protecting.
Although insurance agents are not always classified as "covered entities" under HIPAA, we voluntarily adopt these privacy practices because we believe your personal and health-related information deserves the same level of care and protection. In the course of helping you find insurance coverage, we may collect the following types of information:
- Your name, address, phone number, email address, and date of birth
- Information about your current health insurance coverage
- General health information you share with us to help determine the best plan options (such as medications you take, doctors you see, or ongoing health conditions)
- Financial information relevant to determining subsidy eligibility or annuity suitability
- Medicare eligibility information (Medicare ID, enrollment dates, etc.)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to assist you with insurance-related services, including:
- Finding coverage: Comparing plans across carriers to recommend options that fit your needs and budget
- Enrollment: Submitting applications to insurance carriers on your behalf, with your consent
- Ongoing service: Helping you with questions about your coverage, assisting with plan changes during enrollment periods, and following up to ensure your plan continues to meet your needs
- Compliance: Meeting legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed insurance agent
We do not use your information for treatment, clinical care, claims processing, or any purpose unrelated to helping you find and maintain insurance coverage.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With insurance carriers: When submitting applications, requesting quotes, or facilitating enrollment, only with your knowledge and consent
- With service providers: We use secure technology platforms (such as AWS) to process contact form submissions and store information. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data
- As required by law: If required by federal, state, or local law, regulation, court order, or subpoena
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal or health-related information to third parties.
4. How We Protect Your Information
We take reasonable steps to safeguard your information, including:
- Using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmitted through our website
- Limiting access to your information to authorized personnel only (Grant Buchman and designated staff)
- Storing electronic records in secure, access-controlled systems
- Disposing of physical documents containing personal information through secure shredding
5. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding the personal and health-related information we hold:
- Access: You may request to see what personal information we have on file about you. We will respond within 30 days
- Correction: You may ask us to correct any inaccurate information
- Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information from our records, subject to any legal retention requirements

- Communication preferences: You may request that we contact you only by a specific method (e.g., email only, phone only) or at a specific number or address
- Breach notification: If we become aware of an unauthorized disclosure of your personal information, we will notify you promptly in accordance with applicable law

If you believe your privacy has been compromised or that we have not handled your information properly, please contact us directly. We take all privacy concerns seriously and will work with you to resolve any issues. You will never be penalized for raising a concern.
